Employer-to-Employer Mentorship Program

Enable employers to to create an ecosystem of ‘pay forward culture’ to sustain the employers-to-employers engagement in the context of genuine disability employment opportunities

Diversity Pathways adapts an employer-to-employer mentorship model to facilitate the connection and knowledge exchange between employers with expertise in working with individuals with cognitive disabilities and those seeking guidance on starting disability-inclusive hiring practices.

The first mentor employer is Gráinne Hickland, a former program manager of CROWNability at Crown Resort in Melbourne. Gráinne is a passionate diversity, equity, and inclusion(DEI) specialist. With a strong background of operational experience across Food and Beverage, Housekeeping, Recruitment, Learning and Development, and Diversity Employment.

We facilitate mentorship sessions for employer mentees, such as HR and operation managers from reputable establishments like Mantra Hotel, SkyCity, Sofitel Adelaide, and AHS at Pullman and Ibis. These sessions cater to both individuals and groups, fostering opportunities for networking and knowledge-sharing. By engaging in these mentorship programmes, participants can address shared interests and concerns, ultimately contributing to the development of inclusive organisational cultures within their respective workplaces.

We acknowledge and respect Aboriginal peoples as the state's first peoples and nations and recognise them as traditional owners and occupants of land and waters in South Australia. Further, we acknowledge that the spiritual, social, cultural and economic practices of Aboriginal peoples come from their traditional lands and waters, that they maintain their cultural and heritage beliefs, languages and laws, which are of ongoing importance, and that they have made and continue to make a unique and irreplaceable contribution to the state.
